Hey, y’all!
Hey there, I’m Jess!
I talk a lot about trusting God in the little, daily moments—because life can be wild, full, and a lot of times—unpredictable. I love pondering the deep things of God while I’m sipping coffee, making boujie oatmeal, or thinking about whether I should sneak in a walk to increase my step count before the next craziness hits. Life is full of sacred little pauses if we just notice them.
I’m a wife (to my high school sweetheart) and a mom—some kids came from my womb, and some from my heart (though my heart kids no longer live with me—long story, you can check it out here). These days, my life looks a little different: moody teens, a daughter who raids my closet and makeup bag, and a son who somehow spends more time on his hair than I do. Between working part-time as a substitute teacher and aide, juggling one idea or project after another, and caring for aging and some chronically ill loved ones, life is busy—but full of grace, laughter, and learning every single day.
I’ve always been a dreamer, a creator, and someone who loves finding ways to simplify life and slow down this fast-paced world. Whether it’s a quiet cup of coffee, a short walk, a tiny creative project, or a moment to reflect, I try to carve out space to breathe in the middle of the busyness. Those little pauses are where God shows up, joy sneaks in, and life starts to feel a little more manageable.
Life is real around here. Sometimes the teens are dramatic, projects fail spectacularly, and caring for loved ones can feel overwhelming. And sometimes I just want to hide in a closet for five minutes of silence. And you know what? That’s okay. That’s where the real magic is—where grace shows up in the chaos, in the mistakes, and in the unexpected blessings.
This space is for moms, wives, caregivers, homemakers—or anyone navigating busy seasons, figuring things out, and trying to enjoy life a little along the way. My goal is to encourage you to embrace your gifts, trust God, and find peace and joy in the daily grind. You are enough—mess, chaos, and all.
Grab your favorite drink (coffee, tea, latte, or even that chocolate you’ve been waiting to enjoy after the kids were in bed), get comfy, and stick around. Let’s talk about life, faith, family, caring for those we love, and finding the beauty God hides in the everyday, the ordinary, and the slightly ridiculous.
